Accomplishments

Personal Value:

Over the last few years, I have greatly increased my skill set, capabilities and understanding of my craft.  Since 2006, I have upgraded my MCSE NT4 to MCSE 2003, obtained ITIL V3 foundation certification and a Masters of Science, information Science.

  • Upgrading the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer from NT4 to 2003 may not seem impressive at first glance; however I did not do the upgrade test.  I took all seven tests individually.  I did this for two reasons.  First I felt I could take my time and learn more about each part if I took and focused on one part at a time.  In addition taking each test individually would give me the option to return to teaching as a Microsoft Certified Trainer.

  • I often run international projects.  The ITIL V3 certification helps me to standardize my teams operations with other teams across the world.

  • In 2010, I graduated with a Masters of Science, Information Science program at Penn State University with a GPA of 3.82.  I was able to hone my communications, development, management and security skills.

Innovation:

  • Since taking over the IT Operations Team at INCR, my team has pushed VMWare Virtualization to impressive limits.  We now have 80% of the servers virtualized creating excellent business value, disaster recovery and a completive advantage over other CROs.  This VMWare deployment created a complete ROI in less than a year and has saved over 3 million dollars in TCO.

Results:

  • At INCR, I have lead the information technology integrations for three company acquisitions.  In 2006, INCR acquired Pharmaceutical Resource Corporation (PRC).  As the Manager of IT for PRC I developed and deployed the integration plan to merge PRC into INCR.  As a Director at INCR I created and deployed the strategy to integrate Advanced Biologics into INCR.  Recently INCR acquired the clinical research division of MDS.  This gave me the opportunity to lead a very technically challenging international integration.  My team successfully integrated offices from Buenos Aires, Argentina to Beijing, China.
